Marketing & Data Use — Nue Collective Founder's Club Waitlist

This page explains, in plain language, what happens to the information you submit when you join the Nue Collective Founder's Club waitlist, and what you're agreeing to when you tick the consent box on that form. It's written to align with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Who is responsible for your information

Nue Collective ("we", "us") is the responsible party for the personal information you submit through the waitlist form. If you have questions about this notice or want to exercise any of the rights below, you can contact us at [insert Nue Collective contact email].

What we collect

• Your name, email address and phone number
• What you're pursuing or building, and what motivates you (from the waitlist form)
• Whether you ticked the marketing consent checkbox, and the date you submitted the form

Why we collect it

We use this information to:

• Manage the Founder's Club waitlist and contact you about your application and event access
• Send you direct marketing about Nue Collective events, community updates and offers
• Where you've consented, share your information with selected third parties so that they, or we on their behalf, can market relevant products, services or events to you, including through paid advertising platforms (for example, using your details to build or target ad audiences)

Sharing and selling your information

Because part of how Nue Collective operates commercially involves working with brand and community partners, ticking the consent checkbox means you are agreeing that we may disclose, share or sell your personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing and advertising purposes, in addition to our own. We only do this for contacts who have given consent — if you don't tick the box, we won't share or sell your information to third parties, and we'll only use it to respond to your waitlist application.

Use of Nue Collective's community and audience information by members

By joining the Nue Collective Founder's Club waitlist or becoming a member, you agree that Nue Collective's community and audience information — including but not limited to the names, contact details, phone numbers, email addresses, and any other personal or business information of other members, waitlist applicants, or our wider audience — remains the property of Nue Collective and is provided to you (where applicable, such as at events or through community platforms) solely for the purpose of engaging with the Nue Collective community itself.

You agree not to independently collect, extract, copy, store, sell, or otherwise use this information for your own commercial gain, marketing, or promotional purposes, including but not limited to building your own contact lists, running independent marketing campaigns, or entering into commercial arrangements with other members or audience contacts using information obtained through your participation in Nue Collective.

If you or your business would like to access, use, or market to Nue Collective's audience or community — for example, for sponsorship, partnership, co-hosted events, or promotional purposes — you must contact Nue Collective directly to arrange a formal partnership or data-sharing agreement. Unauthorised use of community or audience information obtained through your involvement with Nue Collective may result in removal from the community, termination of membership, and further legal action where appropriate.

Your consent and how to withdraw it

Under POPIA, direct marketing by electronic communication (email, SMS, WhatsApp etc.) requires your prior, opt-in consent — which is why this is a checkbox you actively tick, not one that's pre-ticked for you. You can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge, by:

• Using the unsubscribe or opt-out link in any marketing message we send you, or
• Emailing partners@outsource.studio and asking us to stop

Withdrawing consent stops future marketing and third-party sharing going forward, but doesn't undo sharing that already happened before you withdrew it.

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

• Ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, and request a copy of it
• Ask us to correct or delete personal information that's inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or that we've collected or are holding unlawfully
• Object to us processing your information for direct marketing purposes, at any time
• Lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator if you believe your information has been mishandled

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you remain on our waitlist or community/marketing lists, and for a reasonable period after that in case you re-engage, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer.

Changes to this notice

We may update this page from time to time as our processes or partners change. The date at the top will reflect the latest version.
